Wallace D. Wattles, Do You Recognize this Name? Wallace is the Author of “The Science of Getting Rich”.
If you have heard of this book you are one up on me, as I had never heard of it until on a call the other night with one of my mentors he mentioned this book along with a couple of others such at “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and ‘The Instant Millionaire” by Mark Fisher. To be honest I have heard about “Think and Grow Rich” didn’t realize that it was by Napoleon Hill though and never heard of the “The Instant Millionaire“. So I set out on a path to be even more enlightened on my journey to reaching my income that I’m pursuing with my latest move back into Network Marketing. I wanted to further understand what it is that helps other move forward to attain their financial goals and to implement them into my own developing mindset of what it takes to move past where I am.
So I searched on Google for first the “The Instant Millionaire” as a pdf free download but haven’t found that yet, so I did find Wallace Wattles book “The Science of Getting Rich” and I read the first chapter so far. The pdf I found how ever was a updated version of the “Green Little Book” as its seems to be affectionately called by those who have read it.
So I read the read the preface to get a better idea of what I was in for in regards to this book. Mr. Wattles talks about this book being pragmatical and not very philosophical, a practical manual, not a treatise upon theories. He also states that this book is “intended for those men and women whose most pressing need is money, who wish to get rich first and philosophize later” for the first part I agree most of us are in need of more money especially with they way today’s economy is recovering/ not recovering depending on what you read or how you perceive it yourself. He also speaks about those not having the time or means to study the metaphysical, but want results and are willing to accept the conclusions of science as a basis for action, while not getting into all the process by which the conclusions were drawn.
In the first chapter Wattles make the assertion that we all have “The Right To Be Rich“. Most of us would agree that a man develops in mind, soul and body by making use of things. They way we achieve this is through the use of whatever society puts forth as the means of how commerce is commenced, so for us in today’s world that would be money in whatever currency that is accepted at that point in time. Mr. Wattles makes note of whatever may be said in praise of poverty, that it is not possible to live a complete and successful life in the absence of being rich. He believes that it is not possible for any man to rise in talent or soul development unless he has money. In order to help develop talent one needs to have use of many things and he can’t afford to buy or pay for these things unless he has money.
This is Wattles basis for the advancement of all humans the science of getting rich.
As stated above a man/ woman develops in mind, soul and body by the use of things, and we have by means of society come to where it takes money to buy things. I going to stop at this point, and continue on with my next blog about Wattles thoughts.
