How Have You Willed Yours Today?
Seems like all these years I’ve been going around doing this wrong, that I had to go around and prove that I was someone special, or that I had special talents or abilities or that because I had influence within the community that , that would help me to move up the ladder to attain riches. In his book “The Secret To Getting Rich” Mr. Wallace D. Wattles points out right from the start that “to set about getting rich in the scientific way, you do not try to apply your will power to anything outside of yourself”. When one looks at it from this point of view , you don’t have that right anyway. Mr. Wattles likens the use of Will Power to the same concept of coercion by physical power, which he in turns likens to slavery. A lot of us out here will try to exert our will power on someone due to the fact that we believe that it will be for their own good, as in the long run do we really know what’s good for them. In the end when we do try to use our will power we usually end it defeating our own purposes.
We need to remember that we need to continue thinking and acting in a Certain Way so that we know what to think and do, which in turn compels us to use our will to think and do the right things. When we think in this certain way , it helps legitimize the use of our will in getting what we want.
Now that we have a better understanding of how to harness the use of Will Power for the increasing of our lives, we now turn to review points that have been mentioned in previous blogs:
- Use your mind to form a mental image of what you want.
- Hold that vision with faith and purpose.
- Use your Will Power to keep your mind working in the Right Way.
Mr. Wattles has previously state in his book “The Secret of Getting Rich” that the more steady and continuous your faith and purpose the more rapidly you will get rich. Do not focus on the negative but on the positive. A good example is that of focusing on poverty, we see it all around us and want to help so we either study it or help out with some charity, but does the problem really get fixed, in most cases not for all those that need help, but if we teach them to “fish” rather than just giving them a handout. So when we teach them to “fish” they then in turn start to do their dreaming and desiring riches and they work towards that with what they have leaned and help us to be one step closer to attaining our Riches.
So we must remember that Will Power is not a big club to go around and hit people with, but it is a tool for us to use in our everyday lives of working and focusing on the desires and riches of our heart. Remember the Coyote and the Roadrunner.
