Is your Life Increasing?
So as we continue with “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles, so what is the result that one should strive for? One wants to get Rich so that one may be able to “eat, drink and be merry” as the saying goes when it the appropriate time; in order to surround oneself with beautiful things, travel to distant lands, to develop one’s interest and curiosities and to help show love and kindness to others. By doing this we are thus engaging in the increase of our lives while helping in the increase or giving others the chance to increase their own lives.
In his book “The Science of Getting Rich” he express his view that God doesn’t want us to sacrifice ourselves and that we can gain his favor by doing so, but that instead God wants us to make the most of ourselves, for ourselves and for others. This is the one area so far that I totally don’t agree with Mr. Wattles, in that I do believe self sacrificing is a powerful way of increasing ones life by showing that you truly care and are willing to do what it takes to help them increase their life to whatever manifestation of what they want their life to be with the help of God. Please don’t misunderstand I do believe that we are to have life and have it more abundantly. As I have read the Bible though I have learned that while all the Old and New Testament ”Heroes” of the Faith have all gone through some sort of self sacrificing or trial, but when they had the true relationship with God or as Wattles calls it in his book “Intelligent Substance” and did all the things that Mr. Wattles suggests they indeed did obtain, wealth, stature, fame in some cases and increase of their lives fully.
Remember that the desire of Substance is for all, in that, its movements are meant for all and must be in all. From this we see that it cannot be made to work for less life to any and it is equally in all and seek riches and life. Intelligent substance (God) will make things for us, but it won’t take away from someone else and give it to you.
The next idea he expounds on is the idea of competition, he believes that we must get rid of the thought of competition. We are to create not compete for what is already created. That being said he list the following views:
- You do not have to take anything away from anyone
- You do not have to drive sharp bargins
- You do not have to cheat or take advantage
- You do not need to let any man work for less than what he earns
You are to become a creator, not a competitor, he states that we are going to get what we want, but in such a manner that when you (I) get it, every other man will have more than he has now. He in my minds eye qualifies this statement, by pointing out the fact that he realizes that there are those you have gained much Wealth, do so in direct opposition to the statements he makes in the book “The Secret of Getting Rich“. He states that these people have aquired their Wealth through competition or by their extraordinary abilities and in some case they unconsciously relate themselves to the Intelligent Substance, as we learn that they were not happy or truly fulfilled, many years later after they passed away.
Know that there are millions of wealth, in the mountains of the earth, whether it in the form of work, Internet marketing, Network Marketing, Home Based Business as your way of obtaining wealth, .
So in closing on Chapter 5 of the book “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles, this need to be reiterated, that we should not be afraid that we lose what we want because as we all know that “somebody has beat us to it” but that can’t happen because we are pursuing something that can’t be possessed by anyone else. We are the ones who are causing what we want to be formed by the Formless Substance, and it is unlimited.
